Selfie Sacrifice

Hello again. I actually starting this strip last week, but I got the idea for last week’s cartoon at the last minute and really wanted to do it first, so I moved this one to this week instead. I got this idea the other week whilst I was watching some chick trying to take a selfie with her phone and seemed to be having some trouble. So of course I wished I was this guy in the strip and did what he did. Nothing quite like living you own fantasies out in comic strip form, right? There’s no way in hell I’d do that, it’s a waste of a good camera for a start.

As you can tell, I’ve been really enjoying the multi-paneled strip format lately, I think it’s a sign that I’m not restricting my ideas. Because when I first started cartooning all those years ago, I often restricting myself to just one panel jokes. Which means if I had a good idea that I couldn’t compress into one panel, I often left it and forgot about it. Sometimes I think I even forced them into one panel when it would have been way better as a multi-panel. So, I’m growing and developing as always, I don’t think I’ll even stop trying to improve and better my art, it’s just not me.

So anyway, this strip is dedicated to all my photographer friends out there, which I do know quite a few from my retail job as a matter of fact. Enjoy!
